Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has just signed and issued Resolution No. 1679/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh province in 2025.
Based on Project No. 373/DA-CP of the Government on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Quang Ninh province in 2025, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to arrange to establish commune-level administrative units of Quang Ninh province.
The communes include: Quang La, Thong Nhat, Hai Hoa, Tien Yen, Dien Xa, Dong Ngu, Hai Lang, Luong Minh, Ky Thuong, Ba Che, Quang Tan, Dam Ha, Quang Ha, Duong Hoa, Quang Duc, Hoanh Mo, Luc Hon, Binh Lieu, Hai Son, Hai Ninh, Vinh Thuc.
The wards include: An Sinh, Dong Trieu, Binh Khe, Mao Khe, Hoang Que, Yen Tu, Vang Danh, Uong Bi, Dong Mai, Hiep Hoa, Quang Yen, Ha An, Phong Coc, Lien Hoa, Tuan Chau, Viet Hung, Bai Chay, Ha Tu, Ha Lam, Cao Xanh, Hong Gai, Ha Long, Hoanh Bo, Mong Duong, Quang Hanh, Cam Pha, Cua Ong, Mong Cai 1, Mong Cai 2, Mong Cai 3.
Special areas include: Van Don, Co To.
After the arrangement, Quang Ninh province has 54 commune-level administrative units, including 22 communes, 30 wards and 2 special zones; including 21 communes, 30 wards, 2 special zones formed after the arrangement prescribed in this Article and 1 commune that does not implement the arrangement is Cai Chien commune.
This Resolution takes effect from the date of approval (16.6)
The competent authorities urgently carry out necessary preparations to ensure that local authorities in commune-level administrative units formed after the arrangement prescribed in Article 1 of this Resolution officially operate from July 1, 2025.
Local authorities in commune-level administrative units before the reorganization will continue to operate until the local government in commune-level administrative units is formed after the reorganization and officially operates.
The Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, local authorities, administrative units related to the implementation of the arrangement and other relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution.
Arrange and stabilize the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilize the lives of local people, ensure the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.
Assign the Government, based on this Resolution and Project No. 373/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025 of the Government, to organize the accurate determination of the natural area of commune-level administrative units and publicly announce it before September 30, 2025.
At the same time, urgently deploy the work of measuring and determining the boundary scope of administrative units on the field to prepare documents on the boundary of administrative units according to regulations.
