From today (May 19), the Ordinance on Management and Protection of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Site officially took effect ( Ordinance).
Article 17 of the Ordinance states the contents of the Visitation Ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh.
Clause 1, Article 17 states that the President Ho Chi Minh Visitation Ceremony held at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum includes:
The state visit ceremony of the delegation attended the National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; The National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front;
The visitation ceremony of foreign senior guests according to the provisions of the law on foreign ceremonies;
Regular visiting ceremony of the People and international visitors.
According to Clause 2, Article 17, weekly visits are often held in the morning of the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. There are visits on Monday and Friday. If the following days fall on a Monday or Friday, regular visits will still be held:
The first day of the Lunar New Year (January 1);
Victory Day (April 30th);
President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19th);
National Day (September 2nd day of the lunar calendar).
Clause 4, Article 17 stipulates that State-level Visitation Ceremonies are held on the following occasions:
Lunar New Year;
Commemorating the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (January 3);
Commemorating Victory Day (April 30th);
Commemorating the anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 07th);
Commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19th);
Commemorating War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th);
Commemorating National Day (September 02);
National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam;
National Assembly session.
