Merging and reorganizing 2 Departments under Military Region 1

It is expected that the Logistics Department and the Technical Department of Military Region 1 will be merged and reorganized in October 2024.

According to the Government Electronic Information Portal on October 2, Military Region 1 recently held a conference to disseminate the decision on merging and reorganizing the Logistics Department and the Technical Department.

Accordingly, at the conference, the authorities thoroughly grasped the decision to merge the Logistics Department and the Technical Department into the Logistics - Technical Department of Military Region 1; decided to issue the organizational structure of the Logistics - Technical Department after the merger and drafted the implementation plan.

The Logistics Department and the Technical Department report on the current status of organization and staffing; propose the arrangement of professional soldiers, workers, defense officials and weapons and equipment according to the new organization and staffing table; discuss and propose content and implementation plans.

Major General Le Xuan Thuan - Deputy Commander, Adviser Chief of Military Region 1, Head directed the dissolution, reorganization, and transfer of tasks. The Military Region assigned the Military Forces Department to preside over the development of a plan to announce and implement the decisions of the Ministry of National Defense.

Coordinate with agencies to fully prepare the contents for the implementation and announcement of decisions on October 16, 2024.

Agree to arrange and adjust the number of troops, weapons and equipment of the Logistics and Technical Department according to the newly issued organizational structure and staffing table, and report to the Standing Committee of the Military Region Party Committee for timely implementation at the decision announcement ceremony.

Major General Le Xuan Thuan requested agencies and units to promote their roles and responsibilities, coordinate well in the implementation process, ensure strictness, unity, safety and on-time compliance.
