On October 1, according to information on the Ministry of National Defence's electronic information portal, agencies and units throughout the army were directed to continue to promote the adjustment of military organization and staffing in accordance with Resolution No. 05-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 230-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission and Plan No. 1228/KH-BQP of the Ministry of National Defence on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021 - 2030 and the following years.
At the same time, perform well the function of advising the Central Military Commission and the Head of the Ministry of National Defence to produce and transfer sufficient weapons and equipment, contributing to improving the overall quality and combat strength of the army.
For this activity, from 2019 to May 2024, the entire army completed adjusting 3,558 organizations.
In 2023 alone, the army will establish, transfer, merge, dissolve, reorganize and complete the organizational structure of over 1,400 organizations in a streamlined, compact and strong direction.
As Lao Dong reported on September 29, according to the Resolution of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021 - 2030 and the following years, the 7th Infantry Division and the 309th Infantry Division will be transferred from the 4th Corps to be directly under Military Region 7.
During this period, the 550th Engineer Brigade and Military Hospital 4 of the 4th Corps will also be transferred to Military Region 7.
Up to now, Military Region 7 has established a Steering Committee, a working group, developed a plan, directed the functional agencies of the Military Region to coordinate with the 4th Army Corps to agree on the timeline, related contents, do a good job of preparing, completing records, procedures, documents, data and work aspects of each sector to carry out the handover and receipt according to plan, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulations.
According to Plan No. 1228/KH-BQP dated April 25, 2022 of the Ministry of National Defence on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021-2030 and the following years, the army will dissolve the 3rd and 4th Corps, and establish the 34th Corps.
The establishment of the 34th Corps on the basis of the merger between the 4th Corps and the 3rd Corps requires strict, scientific and serious implementation; a firm grasp of the ideological situation of the troops; review and perfect the organizations; do a good job of policy work..., thereby creating high consensus, promoting strength, and ensuring stability and development of all organizations.
