The Prime Minister requested the most urgent evacuation of the remaining victims from the Khanh Le Pass landslide area.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Official Dispatch No. 218/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on urgently overcoming the landslide incident at Khanh Le Pass in Nam Khanh Vinh Commune, Khanh Hoa Province.

The dispatch stated that due to the impact of heavy rain, in Nam Khanh Vinh commune, Khanh Hoa province, a landslide occurred at Khanh Le Pass on the night of November 16, 2025, burying and deforming a passenger car, causing very serious consequences (6 dead, 19 injured).

The Prime Minister sent his deepest condolences and condolences to the victims' families, especially those whose lives were lost.

According to the forecast of the national hydrometeorological forecasting agency, from now until the end of November 18, the Central region, including Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong, will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain, with a very high risk of landslides, especially on mountain passes and along steep slopes.

To quickly overcome the consequences of the incident, the Prime Minister requested:

The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee urgently mobilized necessary forces and means to organize rescue and relief with the most urgent and timely spirit to bring the remaining victims out of the landslide area, in which the attention was paid to ensuring absolute safety for the rescue forces.

Closely coordinate with local authorities where the victim resides and relevant agencies and units to promptly organize visits, encourage and support relatives of families of the deceased in identifying, handing over, receiving and bringing the victim back to take care of the funeral according to the wishes of the victim's family.

Direct medical facilities to organize free treatment for the injured to soon stabilize their health and return to their families. Timely implement the State's support policies and regimes for victims according to regulations.

Direct the verification and clarification of the causes of the above serious damage incidents, especially the compliance with the instructions of the government and competent authorities in ensuring traffic safety when there are warnings, instructions on flood prevention, avoidance, and response to strictly handle violations (if any), promptly learn from experience in responding to avoid repeating similar incidents.

The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security direct units located in the area to mobilize maximum forces and means to implement the work of overcoming the consequences of the above landslide incident according to the proposal of the locality; at the same time, proactively advise local Party committees and authorities in natural disaster response and rescue work according to regulations.

The Ministry of Health coordinates with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province and relevant agencies and localities to direct medical facilities and mobilize medical staff to organize free treatment for the injured, creating the best conditions for the injured to soon stabilize their health and return to their families.

The Ministry of Construction coordinates with localities to direct the review, inspection, timely detection and warning of areas at risk of landslides on traffic routes; direct the implementation of necessary measures to ensure traffic safety, especially in areas where floods are occurring to limit the occurrence of incidents and accidents.
