Khanh Hoa - Late on November 16, in the Tuong Vy stream area on Khanh Son Pass, a landslide occurred, burying 3 people.

On the night of November 16, prolonged heavy rain caused a large landslide in a section of Tuong Vy stream on Khanh Son Pass (Provincial Road 9), in Cam An commune.

The incident buried 3 people, 7 others were lucky to escape but were also injured. At the scene, rocks and soil from the slope collapsed, completely burying the stream bed and overflowing onto Provincial Road 9.

Many ancient trees were uprooted, motorbikes were swept away and lying around, and the camp of the group of people in distress was also buried under a layer of rock and soil.

Mr. Do Minh Thanh - Chairman of Cam An Commune People's Committee - said that immediately after the incident, the local authorities and rescue forces urgently approached the scene.

The authorities have found the first two victims, one of whom died, the other was injured and transferred to a hospital in Nha Trang (more than 40km from the scene).

The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police of Khanh Hoa Province Police; Commune Police; Military forces; security and order protection at the grassroots level and road management units mobilized vehicles and mechanical equipment to clear the road and search for missing people.

Currently, 1 person is still missing, the search is being urgently deployed in the conditions of continued heavy rain and continued movement of rocks and soil.
