On March 3, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province confirmed that after the arrangement, the province has reduced 5 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, reaching 26.3% compared to before the arrangement.
Organize within specialized agencies, agencies under the Provincial People's Committee continue to arrange and streamline units within departments, branches and equivalents. Through the arrangement, 15 internal administrative units of specialized agencies subject to arrangement have been reduced, reaching 16.6% compared to before the arrangement.
After the arrangement of district-level specialized departments, each district, town and city has 10 specialized departments (Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts alone have 11 specialized departments, which are the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Departments), reducing 2 specialized departments; the total reduction of 9 districts, towns and cities is 18 specialized departments, reaching 16.1% compared to 2024.
Since 2015, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has stepped up the arrangement of public service units, reducing 183 units through the arrangement.
It is known that Quang Tri province currently has 56 steering committees established by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province; 44 associations have scope of activities in the province.
Through review, some steering committees and associations have not been truly effective, not regular, in the same field, overlapping with the state management tasks of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has assigned the Provincial Department of Home Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee to implement a project to reorganize the steering committees established by the Provincial People's Committee and a project to reorganize and reorganize associations with scope of activities in the province.
