On the afternoon of July 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DCST) of Dien Bien province organized a conference to announce decisions on organizational structure and personnel work.
Attending the conference was Mr. Le Khanh Hoa - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to Decision No. 1545 of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, performing the function of advising and managing the state in many fields such as culture, family, sports, tourism, press, publishing, radio - television, electronic information, foreign information, advertising and related fields.
Along with regulating the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the Department, the Provincial People's Committee also decided to establish a number of non-business units based on arranging and reorganizing existing units.
Accordingly, the Dien Bien Phu Museum was established on the basis of merging the Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board, the Provincial Museum and the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum.
Dien Bien Provincial Culture and Sports Center was established from the reorganization of the Training and Sports Competition Center, the Provincial Library and the Provincial Culture and Cinema Center.
The Dien Bien Provincial Art Troupe was also established on the basis of reorganizing the Provincial Ethnic Art Troupe and the Provincial Culture and Cinema Center.
At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced decisions to appoint leaders and managers for many professional departments and affiliated units.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Trung holds the position of Chief of Office of the Department; Mr. Dao Duy Trinh holds the position of Head of Culture Management Department; Ms. Duong Thi Chung holds the position of Director of Dien Bien Provincial Culture and Sports Center.
Mr. Pham Manh Cuong holds the position of Head of Dien Bien Provincial Art Troupe; Ms. Vu Thi Tuyet Nga holds the position of Director of Dien Bien Phu Museum.
Ms. Le Thi Kieu Trang holds the position of Deputy Head of Information - Press - Publishing Management Department and is assigned the position of Acting Head of Department.
Speaking to assign tasks, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Hai Ha requested the appointed officials to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, maintain political bravery, improve responsibility, proactively innovate in work, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility and take the effectiveness of task implementation as a measure in the working process.
Representing the appointed officials, Mr. Pham Manh Cuong - Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Art Troupe - affirmed that he will join the collective of officials and employees to unite and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the province's culture, sports and tourism sector.
