According to the Ministry of National Defense, Division 3 ( milestone 1) on the morning of August 18 celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and received the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal.
Speaking here, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense congratulated the feats and outstanding achievements of Division 3 over the past 60 years.
To meet the requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai requested the Party Committee and commanders of Division 3 to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks;
Focus on building the Division in the direction of "streamlining, compact, strong", improving combat readiness, promptly and effectively handling situations, not being passive or surprised. Focus on doing a good job of political and ideological education; continue to arouse and promote the glorious tradition of the Division, ensuring that officers and soldiers are always steadfast, steadfast, highly determined, strictly disciplined, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well.
According to Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan - Division Commander of Division 3, emphasizing that the past 60 years have been an extremely heroic and glorious development journey of the Division under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense; directly the Party Committee, the Command of the former Military Region 5, Military Region 3 and the current Military Region 1.
Over the past 60 years, generations of officers and soldiers of Division 3 have overcome countless hardships and sacrifices, constantly striving, achieving many glorious feats, fostering and promoting the tradition of "Brave, resilient, sticking to the land, sticking to the people, self-reliance, self-strengthening, solidarity, and victory", contributing to beautifying the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's Army"; at the same time, contributing worthily to the cause of national liberation, building the Army, consolidating national defense and defending the Fatherland.
Recognizing and honoring the outstanding achievements, Division 3 was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and the State along with many other noble awards; 20 collectives and 15 individuals of the Division were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; thousands of collectives and individuals were awarded Medals, Medals of various types and many noble awards.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day, Division 3 is honored and proud to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal.
