On August 3, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center (Bac Ninh province), the Liaison Committee for the Fighting Company of Division 3 of Bac Ninh province held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Division 3 - Golden Star (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Liaison Committee (August 25, 2005 - August 25, 2025).
The ceremony was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Mr. Le Xuan Loi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province; leaders and former leaders of Division 3 and nearly 600 officers and members of the Lien Phuong Committee.
At the ceremony, delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate more than 22,000 martyrs of Division 3 - Golden Star who heroically sacrificed their lives in resistance wars and national defense.
The delegates reviewed the heroic historical journey of 60 years of fighting, building and growing of Division 3 - Golden Star associated with the heroic history of the nation.
Established on September 2, 1965, in Ba Bao forest, An Nghia commune, Hoai Duc district, Binh Dinh province, throughout the historical journey, Division 3 has coordinated with other units to participate in more than 5,000 battles.
In particular, in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, Division 3 was assigned the task of strengthening the 2nd Army to occupy Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Con Dao, contributing greatly to the liberation of the South and national reunification.
In 1976, in response to the requirements of a new mission, the Division marched to the North, to protect the northern border. Later, the mobilization returned to Hebei - Lang Son to train, be ready to fight, and build a comprehensively strong unit.
The fight communication board of Division 3 of Bac Ninh province was established in August 2005, and now has more than 700 members.
In recent years, members of the Communications Department have promoted the tradition of the soldiers of Division 3 - Heroic Golden Star, enthusiastically participating in social work, building the Party and government, building a strong armed force.
Many officers and soldiers have developed into businessmen, business owners have a good economy, helping to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, stabilizing their lives.
Many meaningful and practical activities were organized by the fight Union of Division 3 of Bac Ninh province such as: Visiting the ancient battlefield; visiting and giving gifts to policy families and members in difficult circumstances...
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, congratulated the achievements of generations of officers and soldiers of Division 3 in the past time, contributing to the cause of building, protecting and developing the country.
In the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong suggested that officers and soldiers continue to unite, unify, promote the traditions and qualities of Mr. Ho's soldiers, grasp and strictly implement the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party and State, especially the 4 pillar resolutions that have just been issued by the Politburo.
Actively participate in local union activities and mass mobilization of veterans; mobilize people to work and produce, contributing to building an increasingly developed locality.
