The missile uses liquid fuel, is capable of firing up to 300km away at a speed of up to 1.7 km/s and has a large area of targeted victims. With conventional explosives, the Scud-B missile will have a collision rate of 1.4 km/s, creating a hole 1.5 to 4m deep, with a lethality of up to 6 hectares. The missile can also carry a 1 ton TNT warhead, creating a large-scale destructive power.
The missile has the task of launching strategic long-range attacks, mainly to destroy the enemy's vital forces, command post, bases and important military works.
In addition, the Scud-B missile also has the accuracy with the probability circle error (CEP~450 m) helping the missile still destroy targets effectively with large warheads.
