On October 14, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung received a working delegation of TCL Group led by General Director Vuong Thanh.
Established in 1981, TCL is a leading technology group in China, operating mainly in the field of manufacturing components, equipment and electronic products. In 2024, with 130,000 employees, 43 R&D centers and 32 production facilities in 160 countries, the Group's revenue will reach nearly 300 billion yuan (about 43.4 billion USD).
At the meeting, General Director of TCL Vuong Thanh said that in Vietnam, TCL currently has 4 production facilities in the old Binh Duong and Quang Ninh provinces with a total accumulated investment capital of 310 million USD, expected to increase to 590 million USD by 2027.
The Group's investment projects in the production of LCD panel and display modules have contributed to attracting industries supporting the upstream supply chain to Vietnam.
In 2024, TCL in Vietnam will achieve revenue of 1.22 billion USD, up 11.9%; production value will reach 1.35 billion USD, up 14.6%.

Expressing his pleasure at meeting TCL Group again after a working trip to China in March 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung highly appreciated the Group's business results globally in general and in Vietnam in particular.
The Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic partnership is constantly developing in all aspects; economic - trade - investment cooperation continues to be an important pillar in the content of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Government leader emphasized that Vietnam prioritizes attracting foreign investment with focus and key points, taking quality, efficiency, technology and environmental protection as the main assessment criteria.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes to promote cooperation with China in sectors and fields, such as electronics components manufacturing, supporting industries, medical accessories, etc. These are also sectors and fields in which TCL Group has a lot of experience and strengths.
To enhance cooperation in training human resources to serve TCL projects in Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Group proactively coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and People's Committees of relevant localities to connect with universities, vocational training institutions, and domestic enterprises to implement training programs for projects that are and will be invested in Vietnam.
"TCL coming to Vietnam is not only to seek profit but also to contribute more to the development of the host country, connecting with the Vietnamese economy so that Vietnamese enterprises can benefit from TCL's supply chain" - the Deputy Prime Minister said at the same time, encouraging the Group to transfer appropriate technology and production stages to any Vietnamese partners who are eligible to participate. From there, TCL can support and strengthen closer relationships with Vietnamese enterprises.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Vietnamese Government is committed to always accompanying and creating favorable conditions for foreign investors in general and Chinese investors in particular to implement effective and sustainable investment and business activities in Vietnam.
