On February 3, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung reported briefly on some general activities of the whole country and the activities of the National Assembly Office before and during the Lunar New Year.
The Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office said that in general, the Lunar New Year 2025 took place in a warm, joyful, healthy, safe and economical atmosphere; People were excited and had high expectations for the country's socio-economic development achievements in 2024 and happily celebrated the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
During Tet, medical work, hygiene and food safety were well implemented; the market situation nationwide was stable, and the supply of essential goods to serve the people was guaranteed.
The work of preventing and combating trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and market inspection and control has been strengthened. Transportation activities are guaranteed to be safe and smooth, serving the needs of the people well, even during peak days serving Tet.
The Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office said that the agencies of the National Assembly and agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee have actively and urgently implemented the programs and work plans for 2025 to ensure progress; strictly implemented the assigned Tet duty to promptly handle arising work.
“During the Tet holiday, agencies still actively synthesized opinions from the Government, agencies of the National Assembly, and National Assembly delegations, studied plans to revise and perfect draft laws and draft resolutions that had been preliminarily reviewed, and continued to coordinate with drafting agencies to contribute ideas to revise a number of draft documents.
"Receive documents of other draft resolutions sent by the Government during the Tet holiday and organize research to work with agencies right on the first working days of the new year" - the Secretary General and Head of the National Assembly Office stated.
According to Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung, during the Lunar New Year holiday, the National Assembly Office focused on preparations for the 42nd Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
The National Assembly Office has done a good job of taking care of the Tet holiday for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire agency. In particular, the Agency's Trade Union has mobilized agencies and units to support Tet gifts in kind for all union members, creating a warm and exciting atmosphere on the occasion of spring.
Accordingly, about 1,900 gifts were received and distributed to union members and workers. Visits and New Year greetings were organized for former leaders of the National Assembly Office; visits and gifts were given to policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Assembly Office who are in difficult circumstances.
