On February 4, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited and worked with the Economic Committee and the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the performance of the Economic Committee and the Finance and Budget Committee in 2024, making important contributions to the overall achievements of the National Assembly and the country.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, 2025 is a year of special significance, a year of acceleration and breakthrough... "We all must unite, the spirit of solidarity will determine the success of all our tasks in the coming time. Each person must put aside personal matters for the common good, every day must think about what can be done for the agency, for the Committee and have specific, measurable products" - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
In particular, the National Assembly Chairman noted that 2025 must be identified as the year to effectively and efficiently reorganize and streamline the apparatus in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee, thereby selecting talented people and people dedicated to contributing to the common cause.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, in the current period, each delegate, each cadre and civil servant must maintain a firm political ideology and steadfast goals, for the Party, for the People, and for the development of the country.
At the working session, reporting on the performance of the two Committees in 2024, Chairman of the Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh said that with a proactive spirit, high responsibility, dedication and effort, the two Committees have completed a huge amount of work, on schedule and ensuring quality.
According to Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, legislative work has been prioritized, focused on and seriously implemented, with responsibility and quality continuing to be improved. The two Committees have chaired the examination and submitted to the National Assembly for approval of 9 Laws.
Supervision work has been actively implemented and is becoming more and more substantive. In 2024, the two Committees effectively presided over the implementation of two major topics of the National Assembly's supreme supervision. Coordination activities between the two Committees and the National Assembly's agencies have been carried out synchronously and effectively, contributing to enhancing the role of supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
Many important contents and issues of the country were carefully examined and evaluated by the two Committees and closely coordinated, and were submitted to the National Assembly for comments and approval by vote.
In addition, according to Chairman of the Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh, with a high sense of responsibility, the two Committees have seriously implemented Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, seriously grasped and implemented the directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and General Secretary To Lam on the arrangement and restructuring of the apparatus, coordinated to develop a plan to merge the two Committees, meeting the progress requirements of the Central Steering Committee.
On the same day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited and worked with the National Assembly's Committees such as: Committee on Culture and Education; Committee on Social Affairs; Committee on Law; Committee on Justice; Committee on National Defense and Security; and Committee on Foreign Affairs.
