The Government Inspectorate has just publicly reported on the results of resolving and responding to voters' petitions sent after the First Session, 16th National Assembly.
In which, voters proposed that the Government, when conducting inspections of key national projects, should soon have specific conclusions and propose clear handling directions; at the same time, it is necessary to publicize information widely so that people can know, monitor and contribute opinions, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of management, use of resources and promoting national development.
Answering this issue, the Government Inspectorate said that implementing the direction of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena and of the Government and the Prime Minister, in the first 6 months of 2026, the entire Inspectorate sector has deployed 1,745 inspections, of which 489 inspections were assigned by the Central Steering Committee and the Prime Minister, mainly focusing on 8 prominent areas of public concern, prone to corruption, wastefulness, and negativity, including:
(1) Projects with difficulties, obstacles, backlogs, and prolongations;
(2) Management of exploration, exploitation, and transportation of construction material minerals;
(3) Wasteful and surplus management and use of house and land facilities,
(4) Combating illegal fishing (IUU);
(5) Management, licensing, and exploitation of minerals;
(6) Import and export activities, gasoline and oil business;
(7) Environment;
(8) Pharmaceuticals and medical equipment and some other fields.
Through inspection, violations were promptly detected and proposed for handling; at the same time, it was proposed to amend, supplement, and improve mechanisms, policies, and laws, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, unlocking resources for development, promoting economic growth, maintaining discipline and order, building an incorruptible administration, strengthening publicity and transparency, and promoting the role of supervision and participation of people in contributing opinions.
In the coming time, the Government Inspectorate will continue to synchronously implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on inspection work, corruption prevention and control, wastefulness, and negativity; at the same time, strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of inspection, promote preventive measures, improve the effectiveness of detection and handling; focus on inspecting sensitive areas, areas prone to violations, important and key national projects and issues of public concern.
The inspection conclusion will be issued promptly, ensuring quality and publicly implemented according to the provisions of law; thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management, promoting the supervisory role of the People and promoting socio-economic development.
