On August 23, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet signed Decision No. 1143/QD-UBND on the establishment of the City Civil Defense Command.
Accordingly, the Head of the Committee is Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Trung. The Deputy Heads of the Committee include the Commander of the City Military Command, the Director of the City Police, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Director of the Department of Health.
The Command Committee is responsible for advising the Chairman of the City People's Committee on the organization, direction and operation of civil defense activities; developing and implementing plans for natural disaster prevention and control; receiving and processing information from hotline 112; organizing forces to respond to and overcome incidents; propagating and disseminating knowledge to raise public awareness.
The Standing Agency of the Command Committee is located at the City Military Command, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development presides over and coordinates the implementation of the task of advising on natural disaster prevention and control.
The operating budget of the Command Committee is guaranteed by the city budget, arranged in the annual budget and implemented according to current regulations.
This decision takes effect from the date of signing, replacing Decision No. 537/QD-UBND dated July 16, 2025 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on the consolidation of the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the city.
