On the morning of June 30, at the large hall of the Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Center, a ceremony was held to announce resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and the Fatherland Front of provinces, communes, and wards.
At the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Dong Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, Head of the Working Group to assist in implementing Decision No. 284 of the Politburo - announced the Politburo's Decision on the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee. This decision takes effect from July 1.
Accordingly, the Politburo decided to establish the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee under the Central Party Executive Committee on the basis of merging the two Party Committees of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee includes party organizations and party members of the two party committees of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces before the merger.
The functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee are prescribed by the Politburo.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee shall preside over and coordinate with relevant Party committees, agencies and organizations to lead, direct, and implement the arrangement, transfer, and reception of Party organizations and Party members; arrange and assign cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; arrange working headquarters, manage finance, assets, records, documents, collect seals and other related issues after the merger according to regulations.
