The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Quang Ninh province for the 2023-2025 period.
The Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly clearly states the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Dong Trieu town and the establishment of Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh province.
Accordingly, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Dong Trieu town is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 5.62km2 and population of 4,043 people of Tan Viet commune into Viet Dan commune. After merging, Viet Dan commune has a natural area of 12.63km2 and a population of 8,830 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 0.77km2 and population of 8,592 people of Dong Trieu ward into Duc Chinh ward. After merging, Duc Chinh ward has a natural area of 6.86km2 and a population of 18,762 people.
Establish Binh Duong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 10.22km2 and population of 10,031 people of Binh Duong commune.
Establish Thuy An ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 7.90km2 and population of 7,156 people of Thuy An commune.
Establish Binh Khe ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 56.79km2 and population of 13,222 people of Binh Khe commune.
Establish Yen Duc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 9.31km2 and population of 7,295 people of Yen Duc commune.
Establish Dong Trieu city on the basis of the entire natural area of 395.95km2 and population of 248,896 people of Dong Trieu town.
Dong Trieu city borders Uong Bi city; Hai Phong city; Hai Duong province and Bac Giang province.
After its establishment, Dong Trieu city had 19 commune-level administrative units, including 13 wards: Binh Duong, Binh Khe, Duc Chinh, Hoang Que, Hong Phong, Hung Dao, Kim Son, Mao Khe, Thuy An, Trang An, Xuan Son, Yen Duc, Yen Tho and 6 communes: An Sinh, Hong Thai Dong, Hong Thai Tay, Nguyen Hue, Trang Luong, Viet Dan.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh province:
Reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Ba Che district. After the reorganization, Ba Che district has 7 commune-level administrative units, including 6 communes and 1 town.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Cam Pha city. After the arrangement, Cam Pha city has 15 commune-level administrative units, including 13 wards and 2 communes.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Mong Cai city. After the arrangement, Mong Cai city has 16 commune-level administrative units, including 7 wards and 9 communes.
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ha Long city. After the arrangement, Ha Long city has 32 commune-level administrative units, including 20 wards and 12 communes.
The Resolution also clearly states that the People's Court of Dong Trieu city is established on the basis of inheriting the People's Court of Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province.
Establish the People's Procuracy of Dong Trieu city on the basis of inheriting the People's Procuracy of Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province.
This Resolution comes into force from November 1, 2024.
From the effective date of this resolution, Quang Ninh province has 13 district-level administrative units, including 7 districts, 1 town and 5 cities; 171 commune-level administrative units, including 91 communes, 73 wards and 7 towns.
