Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Directive No. 06/CT-TTg on urging the implementation of key tasks after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday in 2026.
In the Directive, the Prime Minister requested the Government Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to urgently implement the 2026 Inspection Plan and assigned unexpected inspections; the plan to receive citizens, resolve complaints and denunciations to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Strictly implement Regulation No. 131-QD/TW dated October 27, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in inspection, supervision, and enforcement of Party discipline and in inspection and audit activities.
Accelerate the progress of issuing and effectively implementing inspection conclusions, especially recovering money and assets due to violations, corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; strengthen supervision, appraisal, and handling after inspection.
Previously, at the department-level meeting on the results of work in January, deploying tasks for February 2026, Inspector General of the Government Doan Hong Phong requested units to focus highly on completing inspections.
Departments I, II, IV, VI are required to urgently advise on issuing 8 inspection conclusions that have been reported to the Prime Minister; accelerate the progress of drafting conclusions of 21 inspections; continue to effectively implement 9 direct inspections and inspections according to the 2026 plan.
Department IV continues to preside over urging, guiding, and summarizing reports on progress and results of specialized inspections on waste prevention and control.
Department XIII continues to perform well the task of supervising inspection teams and appraising draft inspection conclusions assigned; Department XIV presides over advising on strict implementation of the Prime Minister's directives, strengthening urging and inspection of the implementation of inspection conclusions, especially conclusions under the monitoring of the Steering Committee.
Also in Directive No. 06/CT-TTg, the Ministry of Public Security is assigned to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to absolutely protect the safety of key targets, projects, important political, foreign, cultural, and social events of the country; activities of Party and State leaders, international delegations, and international conferences held in Vietnam.
Strengthen solutions to prevent, combat, and effectively handle bad and toxic information on the network.
Direct the traffic police force to strengthen patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations of the law on ensuring traffic order and safety, especially violations of alcohol concentration, carrying overloaded goods, carrying more people than prescribed; closely coordinate with the transport sector to organize traffic diversion and combat traffic congestion at gateway routes, bus stations, train stations, airports, and tourist attractions.
Deploy plans to ensure fire and explosion prevention and safety, rescue and relief, especially in crowded places and areas where festivals take place.
Focus on fighting and suppressing crimes and social evils, especially crimes that tend to increase in the early spring such as gambling and organizing gambling, robbery, theft of property, disturbing public order, and resisting law enforcement officers.
Promptly detect and dismantle organized crime gangs and groups, and strictly handle them according to the provisions of law.
