In the afternoon of February 22nd (January 6th), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Government with ministries, branches, and agencies under the Government to assess the situation of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and deploy key tasks after Tet.
Concluding the conference, the Prime Minister affirmed that the whole country had celebrated Spring and welcomed Tet happily, warmly, safely, healthily, and affectionately in accordance with the Directive of the Secretariat and the Prime Minister; and at the same time served well and effectively the very successful working trip of General Secretary To Lam to the United States.
Emphasizing that it is necessary to start working right from the first day after Tet, the Prime Minister directed Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, and Chairmen of Provincial People's Committees to strengthen discipline, administrative discipline, labor, finance, budget, spending, norms, thrift to combat wastefulness, and cut unnecessary spending.
Promote disbursement of public investment capital, strive for disbursement to reach 100%; strictly and drastically implement the removal of IUU yellow cards. Accelerate the construction progress of 100 inter-level border boarding schools, preparing to start construction of the remaining 148 schools simultaneously in February.

The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Finance to manage expansionary and reasonable fiscal policies, with focus and key points, through public investment programs at all levels of authority; implement 10% spending savings from the beginning of the year, 5% spending savings for development investment; strengthen control and inspection of revenue and expenditure work, build projects from the beginning, and combat waste and negativity.
The State Bank of Vietnam operates monetary policy proactively and flexibly, closely coordinates with other policies, ensuring macroeconomic stability, directing credit into priority sectors, both controlling inflation and promoting growth; closely monitoring the gold market.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade controls market prices, monitors the impact of the additional 10% import tax that the US has just issued to respond promptly; resolutely not to let energy shortages occur.
The Ministry of Construction should review key national projects on transportation; urgently collect tolls for projects that have been invested in accordance with regulations for expressway projects that have been completed and meet standards; ensure smooth operation of the expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau.
The Ministry of Education and Training deploys to stabilize the situation of students after the Tet holiday; monitor, maintain, and complete issues related to textbooks, facilities, foreign language teaching...
The Ministry of Home Affairs deploys election work. The Ministry of Justice promotes policy communication; building laws according to assigned functions.
The Ministry of Public Security controls the traffic accident situation, implements Project 06 to serve the operation of local authorities at 2 levels; focuses on suppressing all kinds of crimes.
The Ministry of National Defense maintains independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, builds a border of peace, cooperation and friendship with neighboring countries; deploys military forces at the grassroots level according to the Politburo's Resolution.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presides over, grasps the situation, proposes timely response plans to the world situation; monitors and assesses the new tax impact of the US.
The Government Inspectorate needs to identify some key focuses for inspection, especially key national programs, not to let small shortcomings accumulate into major violations; definitively resolve citizens' complaints.
