Welcoming Minister Yasar Guler and the high-ranking delegation of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on an official visit to Vietnam, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong believes that the working trip of the delegation will contribute to promoting the friendship and cooperation in many aspects between Vietnam and Turkey in general, as well as the defense cooperation in particular. Through the minister, the President sent his best wishes and best wishes to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Putin.
Assessing that the cooperation between the two countries has had positive developments in recent times, in line with the development trend in the new period, the President affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening the cooperative friendship with Türkiye for the benefit of the people of the two countries, as well as for peace, stability, cooperation and development in each region and in the world.
Minister Yasar Guler affirmed that Turkey always considers Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region and wishes for bilateral cooperation to develop further. Turkey is ready to share technology, contribute to defense modernization efforts in line with Vietnam's needs...
Requesting the two sides to strengthen cooperation in various fields, the Turkish Defense Minister also hoped that Vietnam would support Turkey in expanding cooperation with ASEAN.
Welcoming the sharing of Minister Yasar Guler, President Luong Cuong emphasized that bilateral relations have developed well in recent times and Vietnam wishes to bring the bilateral relationship to new heights. In particular, the two sides need to increase delegation exchanges, especially high-level delegations and ministries, branches and localities; continue to promote economic, investment and trade cooperation in areas where the two countries still have many strengths and can complement each other.
To put Vietnam - Turkey defense cooperation into more substantial and effective situations, the President suggested that in the coming time, the two countries' defense ministries continue to promote and deepen cooperation on the basis of signed defense cooperation agreements, as well as the contents discussed and agreed upon at the talks between the two defense ministers.
The State of Vietnam will create the most favorable conditions for the two countries' Ministries of National Defense to continue to strengthen defense relations, in accordance with the needs and capabilities of each country.
On this occasion, through Mr. Minister and President Luong Cuong respectfully conveyed the invitation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Putin to soon visit Vietnam at an appropriate time.
