"In the past time, under the leadership of the Party and the State, directly and regularly led by the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee for major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years of 2023-2025; The Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense has chaired and coordinated with central departments, ministries, branches and localities to successfully organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the people and international friends; thereby arousing the heroic tradition, the spirit of great national unity, pride and will, determination to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnam People's Army, and build a national defense foundation. The people are strong, the people's hearts are firm, contributing to building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. The success of the commemorative activities is a great encouragement for the Vietnamese Army and people to continue to promote the glorious tradition of the heroic Army, the heroic Vietnamese people, and firmly step into the new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense would like to sincerely thank the Politburo, the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the central ministries, branches, Party committees, authorities and people of localities for their leadership, direction, close coordination and collaboration, and successful organization of commemorative activities at all levels. December 22 is truly a festival for the entire army and people under the leadership of the Party and State.
