Accordingly, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.
The decision takes effect from July 1, 2025.
The new Minister of Home Affairs, People's Council, People's Committee of Lao Cai province and Mr. Tran Huy Tuan are responsible for implementing the decision.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan was born in 1974, hometown: Van Yen district, Yen Bai province.
Professional qualifications: Irrigation engineer; Bachelor of political economy; Master of natural resource and environmental economics.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan used to work at the Irrigation Department of Yen Bai province; Yen Bai Irrigation Works Management Board; Yen Bai Irrigation Construction and Investment Project Management Board; Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Yen Bai province.
From December 2011 to September 2015: Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province.
From September 2015 to September 2019: Secretary of Van Yen District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Van Yen District, term XVII.
From October 2019 to September 2020: Member of the Standing Committee of the 18th Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee.
From October 2020 to November 6, 2024, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, term 2016-2021.
In November 2024, the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to conduct the election of personnel to hold the position of Provincial Party Committee Secretary.
As a result, with the absolute confidence of 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
