The meeting with voters was also attended by Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong.

At the meeting, the representative of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City said that the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly was divided into 2 sessions, with a total working time of 35 days, including Saturdays of the week.

The representative of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City added that the 15th National Assembly has completed all the contents of the proposed program. The National Assembly has reviewed and approved many particularly important and urgent issues.

Accordingly, the National Assembly has reviewed and approved the Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, creating a foundation for the streamlining of the apparatus of the political system and perfecting the 2-level local government organization model.

The National Assembly discussed carefully and unanimously passed the Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units.

At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued 34 Resolutions on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of 34 provinces and cities.

Accordingly, after the arrangement, the whole country has 34 provincial-level administrative units, including: 6 centrally-run cities and 28 provinces (a decrease of 29 provinces, equivalent to 46.03%) and 3,321 commune-level administrative units, including 2,621 communes, 687 wards and 13 special zones (a decrease of 6,714 units, equivalent to 66.91%).

At the session, the National Assembly passed 14 laws and 2 legal resolutions to implement the organization of a two-level local government model according to the Party's guidelines and new regulations of the Constitution, ensuring the organization of the political system in a streamlined, efficient, effective and efficient manner, promoting decentralization and delegation of power.

At the session, the National Assembly passed many important contents to create a breakthrough for the country's development.

In addition, the National Assembly has reviewed and approved the Resolution on shortening the term of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, term 2021 - 2026. The election day for 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will be on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

The National Assembly has reviewed and approved the Resolution on the number of members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee. Accordingly, the number of members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee is 20, including: Chairman of the National Assembly, 06 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly and 13 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The National Assembly has reviewed and decided to dismiss Mr. Y Thanh Ha-nie K dam from the position of Member of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee, dismiss him from the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, the 15th National Assembly term, to take on other working duties; Elect Mr. Lam Van Man and Mr. Hoang Duy Chinh as members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee; elect Mr. Lam Van Man to hold the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council.
