Prime Minister receives leaders of Dubai Financial Centre

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Dubai Financial Centre to support the development of the Ho Chi Minh City Financial Centre.

During his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the afternoon of October 28 (local time), in Dubai, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Executive Chairman of Dubai Financial Centre Arif Amiri.

At the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his impression of the strong development of the UAE, including Dubai. The Prime Minister highly appreciated the Dubai Financial Centre, one of the world's leading financial centres; suggested that the Dubai Financial Centre cooperate with Vietnam to develop financial services and support the development of the Ho Chi Minh City Financial Centre.

For his part, Mr. Arif Amiri expressed his impression of Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements in recent times; saying that Vietnam needs to promote the development of financial services to create a foundation for trade development and investment attraction.

The Executive Chairman of the Dubai Financial Centre said he is ready to support the sharing of experience in building a financial centre and cooperate with Vietnam in the field of financial services; and wishes to soon visit Vietnam, especially Ho Chi Minh City, to concretize the cooperation contents according to the proposals of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On the same afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Museum of the Future - a new symbol of Dubai city, with many spaces to help visitors imagine the world in the next 50 years.

In the 7-storey elliptical building without supporting pillars, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the exhibition halls simulating the space shuttle; futuristic technologies, costumes, and specimens; technology to recreate the forest ecosystem in a realistic way; the room storing 2,400 boxes containing specimens of many species of animals and plants on Earth...
