The 46th ASEAN Summit and related summits will take place from 26-27 May at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, with the participation of leaders of ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and China.
With about 10 meetings, leaders will discuss in depth the directions and measures to strengthen internal cooperation, expand connections with partners, enhance economic self-reliance and seek new cooperation motivations in the context of many fluctuations in the regional and international situation.

One of the highlights of this summit is the signing of the Kuala Lumpur Declaration by ASEAN leaders on "ASEAN 2045: Our common future" and the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 along with political - security, economic, cultural - social and connecting strategies.
It is expected that on May 26, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the following events: plenary session of the 46th ASEAN Summit, Closing session of the 46th ASEAN Summit, Dialogue with Representatives of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Dialogue with ASEAN Youth Representatives, Dialogue with Representatives of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC); and a number of other important bilateral and multilateral activities.

The high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended these summits with the consistent message of being proactive, responsible and ready to contribute more to the common work of ASEAN.
Vietnam wishes to work with member countries to shape strategic orientations and specific measures to further strengthen the regional cooperation foundation, while enhancing the position of the ASEAN Community in the coming period.
