VNA reported that within the framework of the official visit to the State of Kuwait, on the evening of November 16 (local time), in the capital Kuwait, Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation met with officials and staff of Vietnamese representative agencies and the Vietnamese community in Kuwait.
Reporting to the Prime Minister and the Working Group, Vietnamese Ambassador to Kuwait Nguyen Duc Thang said that although the number is not large, the Vietnamese community in Kuwait is actively contributing to the economic development and social life of Kuwait.
The representative of the Vietnamese community in Kuwait affirmed that each individual strives to be a "ambassador" of the image of Vietnam, not only a worker or a resident, but also a cultural - economic bridge between Vietnam and the host country.
The people suggested that the Party and State continue to create conditions for overseas Vietnamese to access online public services more easily, open direct flights between the two countries, have more open visa policies, increase tourism and cultural promotion in the area, strongly develop products suitable for the Middle East market such as high-end beach tourism, family vacation, shopping, health care, beauty, especially Halal cuisine to meet the needs of Hoi giao tourists...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam conveyed to the community warm greetings, affectionate greetings and sincere affection from his homeland.
The Prime Minister said that his visit to Kuwait this time is of great significance in the context of Vietnam - Kuwait having good friendship and effective cooperation. The two sides will discuss upgrading the bilateral relationship framework to new heights and sign many important cooperation agreements.
Acknowledging and sharing the wishes and proposals of the people, the Prime Minister directed domestic agencies to implement more drastic measures to meet the legitimate aspirations of the people. In particular, the Prime Minister paid special attention to opening a direct flight between Vietnam and Kuwait; having an open and convenient policy on visas; information on investment, trade, tourism promotion; exploiting the Halal market.
The Prime Minister suggested that people continue to unite, build a strong and developing community with a high role and position in society; preserve and promote the national cultural identity and Vietnamese language; strive to study, work well, take advantage of learning to contribute to the development of the country.
The associations continue to promote their role in connecting overseas Vietnamese and building a network of Vietnamese enterprises at the grassroots level.
