Heavy rain and consecutive landslides have made it difficult to approach the scene.
According to initial information, at around 10:30 p.m. on November 16, 2025, a 40-seat Phuong Trang passenger car with license plate 59H-53114, traveling on National Highway 27C from Da Lat to Nha Trang, when reaching km45 (Khanh Le Pass, Khanh Hoa Province) had an accident.

At the time of the accident, it was raining heavily, and there were many landslides in the pass area. Of which, there are two large points at km43 and km47, making it difficult for rescue forces to approach the scene.
Soil and rocks from the positive slope suddenly collapsed, hitting the right side of the passenger bus. The incident caused severe damage to the vehicle and many passengers were trapped inside.
It was not until around 0:00 on November 17 that the authorities arrived at the area where the accident occurred.

Chairwoman of Nam Khanh Vinh commune Le Thi Kim Hoa informed Lao Dong that that night, the authorities took the 3 bodies of the victims out of the passenger bus. Currently, there are 2 people trapped in the car due to being kicked.
There are 32 passengers and 13 injured people being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
This morning, rescue forces urgently deployed approach measures, cutting off the hoes of the vehicles to get the victims out and transfer them to the emergency room.
The preliminary cause was determined to be a road accident caused by natural disasters, in the context of prolonged heavy rain causing landslides in many sections of Khanh Le Pass.
