On the morning of April 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran had breakfast with Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and his wife Zinash Tayachew, enjoyed coffee and strolled around West Lake, Truc Bach Lake, Hanoi.
The two Prime Ministers and their wives had breakfast and enjoyed coffee at a coffee shop on Thanh Nien Street - the most beautiful and poetic road in Hanoi with West Lake on one side and Truc Bach Lake on the other.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife invited the Ethiopia Prime Minister and his wife to eat typical delicious dishes of Hanoi and Vietnam; and introduced Vietnamese culinary culture.
Next, the two Prime Ministers and their wives walked around West Lake, Truc Bach Lake and visited Tran Quoc Pagoda.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh introduced to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and his wife Tran Quoc Pagoda - a pagoda with a history of nearly 1,500 years and considered the oldest in Thang Long - Hanoi; the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel during the Ly and Tran dynasties with its architecture harmoniously combined with majesty, ancient times with elegant landscape in the silence of a vast lake.

Tran Quoc Pagoda is located on an island east of West Lake, in Yen Phu Ward, Tay Ho District. Built during the reign of King Ly Nam De, the pagoda was originally named Khai Quoc. After many changes of name, since the time of King Le Hy Tong, the people have known the pagoda as Tran Quoc and it has been preserved to this day.
Tran Quoc is one of the most sacred pagodas for Vietnamese Buddhists, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi that has been ranked by the state as a National Historical and Cultural Relic since the very first (1962). The travel news site Wanderlust once honored Tran Quoc Pagoda as one of the 10 most beautiful ancient pagodas in the world.
