The Prime Minister requested absolutely not to let passengers delay returning home for Tet due to lack of means of transport; not to let price squeezing and price increases occur that are not in accordance with regulations.

On February 5, the Government Office said that Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had just signed and issued Official Dispatch 10/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on strengthening transport organization to ensure traffic order and safety during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival season.

According to the telegram, the Prime Minister requested ministries, agencies, and units to increase transportation vehicles to serve the travel needs of the people, especially public passenger transport to connect and support passengers to travel conveniently at railway stations, airports, bus stations, and train stations, absolutely not allowing passengers to be slow to return home for Tet due to lack of transportation.

To prevent the occurrence of price squeezing, taking advantage of price increases not in accordance with regulations, and prevent traffic accidents during the Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival season.

The Ministry of Public Security directs to strengthen forces and vehicles to patrol, control, and inspect traffic safety on highways, local roads, and passenger transport vehicles such as double-decker sleeper buses.

Strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety (TTATGT), focusing on drastically handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents, such as: violations of alcohol concentration, speed, load, driving in the wrong lane, lane, going against traffic flow, illegal stopping and parking, turning around, avoiding and overtaking improperly... promptly detect and prevent illegal racing, gatherings causing public disorder.

The Construction sector directs affiliated agencies, Departments of Construction of provinces and cities to coordinate with functional forces of the Police sector and local authorities to organize strict management of transport activities, arrange sufficient transport vehicles, and have plans to increase vehicles to meet people's travel needs, ensure traffic order and safety and prevent and control epidemics in transport activities, especially during the period before the Lunar New Year holiday.

Organize smooth transportation of goods before, during and after Tet, especially in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas and islands.

Strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations of transport business activities, especially contract cars and fixed-route passenger cars.

Strictly control the compliance with regulations on business and business conditions for passenger transport, especially large volume transport (including double-decker sleeper buses), waterway transport routes from the shore to the island, tourism activities on inland waterways, passenger transport across rivers, along inland waterways and at stations, airports, bus stations, seaports, ports, inland waterway ports; the implementation of fare declaration, listing of freight rates, train and bus ticket prices according to regulations.

Coordinate with functional forces to take measures to prevent the illegal transportation of fire and explosion goods, dangerous goods, products, livestock, and poultry of unknown origin and without health quarantine certificates on transport vehicles; proactively coordinate with relevant agencies and units in border health quarantine work according to the guidance of the Health sector.
