The visit to the 4 countries of General Secretary To Lam continues to be an important highlight in the implementation of the practical external policy of independence, autonomy, multilateralization, diversification, initiative and active international integration comprehensive, extensive and effective of the 13th Party Congress. This is also a visit to Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union, especially Central Asians and Kavkaz who have good traditional relationships with Vietnam, have supported and helped Vietnam in the cause of fighting for the country's defense and building and defending the country today; It is the occasion that we affirm the sincere, loyal and desire to promote long -term, effective, essential and mutual cooperation.
For Russia, this is the first official visit to the Russian Federation since Comrade To Lam was elected to hold the position of General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The visit took place in a very meaningful context when the two countries were celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. At the same time, each country also celebrated the great historical milestones when Russia celebrated the 80th anniversary of the victory day of the great national defense war, Vietnam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day 2.9.
The visit aims to enhance political trust, identify new orientations to bring traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia to new heights as well as strengthen cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and major parties in Russia.
Along with that, General Secretary To Lam's official visit to the Russian Federation and attendance at the Victory Day Ceremony in the Great Patriotic War also demonstrates Vietnam's respect and honor for the huge contributions and sacrifices of the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today in the great victory against socialism, firmly defending world peace.
For Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Belarus, this is the first State visit of General Secretary To Lam to these countries and is very important.
The visit not only strengthens and enhances political trust between Vietnam and traditional friends, but also conveys Vietnam's message and determination to continuously strengthen the traditional friendship and relations with countries of the former Soviet Union.
The visit of General Secretary To Lam will also contribute to promoting cooperation on the Party channel between the Communist Party of Vietnam and major parties in the three countries mentioned above.
Along with that, this working trip of General Secretary To Forest and his wife and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation also contributed to promoting people-to-people exchanges, affirming the One-of-a-kind affection of our people for the people of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Belarus.
