On November 15, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army attended the Great Unity Day in Ha Vinh village, Thanh Quang commune, Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province.
Also attending were: Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 3; Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee.
Attending the festival in his hometown, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his joy and emotion at the changes, development and strong growth of Hai Duong province, including Thanh Ha district.
Ha Vinh village, Thanh Quang commune has 527 households with 1,590 people. With the strength of growing fruit trees, especially early lychee trees, many households in the village have an income of hundreds of millions of VND each year. The number of poor households in the village has decreased to 11 households, near-poor households to 12 households. The face of the countryside has changed. In 2024, nearly 93% of households in the village will be considered cultural families.
The General hopes that the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front Committee, agencies, departments and organizations at all levels in the province will regularly stay close to the grassroots, listen to and promptly resolve the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, taking the people as the center and subject of all policies; well organize patriotic emulation movements, encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals. From there, create new momentum for emulation so that the Great National Unity Day is truly a festival of solidarity, of villages.
At the festival, the leaders of the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense and Dong Bac Corporation presented 213 gifts, each worth 3 million VND, to poor households and households in difficult circumstances in Thanh Quang commune.
