In 2024, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee strictly implemented the Party Charter, Party regulations and rules and the Provincial Party Committee's working regulations; maintained the principles of organization and operation, ensured the principle of democratic centralism, exercised the right authority, and made decisions by majority. There were many innovations in working style, methods, and procedures; issues were directed to be resolved flexibly, decisively, effectively, and in accordance with regulations. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee maintained the routine and periodic work program to review and decide on issues according to the work program and resolve issues within its authority.
Right from the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and its members have promoted a sense of responsibility, positivity, self-awareness, solidarity, initiative, and determination in leadership, direction, and successfully completed assigned political tasks.
As a result, in 2024, Nghe An has achieved and exceeded 27/28 socio-economic development targets. The economy continues to maintain a good growth rate, budget revenue achieves good results, attracting investment, especially attracting foreign capital investment, ranking among the top 10 provinces and cities in the country.
Culture and society continued to receive attention and direction, with many positive changes; in particular, the program to mobilize and support the construction and repair of houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties achieved good results, a bright spot in the country. National defense and security were consolidated and enhanced; political security and social order and safety were maintained.
Foreign affairs activities are implemented synchronously, flexibly and effectively. Administrative reform and digital transformation are focused on and directed by the leadership. Nghe An province has been issued Resolution No. 137/2024/QH15 by the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province.
The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system; the capacity and responsibility of the leadership and management collective; the responsibility to set an example; the responsibility to explain; the work of fighting against corruption, negativity, waste and preventing and repelling signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party, associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style, has achieved many positive results.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed: "With the spirit of solidarity, unity, proactiveness, flexibility and innovation, in 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will continue to promote to achieve more results and efficiency, achieving at the highest level the targets and objectives of the final year of the 19th Provincial Party Congress term".
