The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 14163/VP-KGVX dated September 9, announcing the direction of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son on organizing activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
According to the content of the document, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Hong Son agreed with the report and proposal of the City Red Cross Society; assigned the City Red Cross Society to issue a Plan to organize a campaign to support the Cuban people according to the Appeal and Plan No. 175/KH-TUHCTD of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
At the same time, the City Union of Friendship Organizations was assigned to preside over and coordinate with the City Red Cross Society, the Department of Culture and Sports, and Hanoi Radio and Television Station to organize a practical music night to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, integrating the campaign to support the Cuban people according to Plan No. 175/KH-TUHCTD of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
Receiving more than 421.5 billion VND to support the Cuban people
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society said that as of 4:00 p.m. on September 8, the Cuban People's Support Campaign Program with the theme "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba Love" had reached VND 421.5 billion (more than 6.4 times the original target).
Specifically, the 2022 account (Army Joint Stock Commercial Bank) of the Central Association received a donation of more than 406.8 billion VND with more than 2 million donations; through the Red Cross Society of provinces and cities, it was nearly 13.4 billion VND.
The program will continue to be implemented until October 16, 2025 with the following forms of support: Direct support through account number 2022, Military Bank of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Society of provinces and cities; support through the technology platform " App Donation" with the link https://dearcuba.thiennguyen.app; organize support reception at the headquarters of agencies, units, businesses, schools, and localities.
