    General Secretary and President To Lam chaired the first meeting of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing practice and studying amendments and supplements to the Party Charter.

    On the morning of August 5, 2026, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Central Steering Committee for summarizing practice and researching amendments and supplements to the Party Charter held the first session. General Secretary, President To Lam, Head of the Steering Committee chaired the Meeting.

    Also attending the meeting were Politburo members, Secretariat members, and Steering Committee members.

    According to Decision No. 207-QD/TW dated July 22, 2026, the Politburo decided to establish the Central Steering Committee for summarizing practice and researching and amending and supplementing the Party Charter (Steering Committee).

    General Secretary and President To Lam is the Head of the Steering Committee. Member of the Politburo, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee members include 44 personnel.

    The Steering Committee has the following tasks and powers: Directing the summarization of practice and researching the amendment and supplementation of the Party Charter; drafting the Party Charter (amended and supplemented), reporting to the Politburo, the 14th Party Central Committee to submit to the 15th National Party Congress for consideration and decision. Assigning tasks to members of the Steering Committee and promulgating the Working Regulations of the Steering Committee.

    The Steering Committee works on a part-time basis. Members of the Steering Committee perform tasks according to the assignment of the Steering Committee and the Head of the Steering Committee. Helping the Steering Committee, there is an Editorial Team established by the Steering Committee.

    According to the Decision, the Central Organization Committee is the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee is allowed to use the seal of the Party Central Committee and the seal of the Central Organization Committee to serve its work.
