The core of implementing building a disciplined, safe, and healthy society
To celebrate the 64th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Police Force (July 20, 1962 - July 20, 2026), on July 18, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security organized a meeting with generations of leaders, commanders, veteran officers, and comrades representing wounded soldiers in the People's Police Force, according to VNA.
General Secretary and President To Lam attended and spoke at the meeting. Also attending the meeting were former Politburo member, former Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Speaking at the meeting, informing about the results of socio-economic development tasks and the country's situation in recent times, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that in the overall results of the political system, there is a very important contribution of the People's Police force, the People's Police force, senior leaders and commanders of the People's Police through periods, and the role of the Association of Former People's Police in the all-people movement to protect national security at the grassroots level.
General Secretary and President said that at the 14th Party Congress, for the first time, our Party established and emphasized: "Promoting the role of former people's police officers in educating the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism for the younger generation, promoting the nature and tradition of "revolutionary police officers".
To contribute to the entire Party, people, and army under the leadership of the Party to complete the strategic goals, the General Secretary and President requested the People's Police Force, the People's Police Force, and generations of senior leaders and commanders of the People's Police Force through various periods to focus on advising and acting as the core to implement building a disciplined, safe, healthy, civilized, harmonious, and developed society.
Focus on fighting and suppressing all kinds of crimes, building communes/wards without drugs, moving towards no crime, no social evils. Resolutely implement the goal of reducing 10% of social order crimes, creating stronger changes in the fight against all kinds of crimes.
The General Secretary and President clearly stated that promoting the core role in contributing to building a modern social governance, strongly shifting from "social management" to "management and social construction", taking data as the foundation, digital technology as the tool, and people as the center.
Building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern People's Police force
The General Secretary and President requested to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern People's Police force, "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people", meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation;
Focus on building a contingent of People's Police officers and soldiers who must have firm political bravery, bright moral qualities, proficiency in law, sharp professional skills, strong action spirit in implementing Party policies, digital capacity, creative thinking, ready to fight, win and sacrifice for the peaceful life and happiness of the people;
Pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual life, working conditions of officers and soldiers; actively promote the role of former People's Police officers who were leaders and People's Police officers in building a disciplined, safe, civilized, harmonious, and developed society.
Speaking at the meeting, General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security affirmed that the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, the Ministry of Public Security, and the People's Police force wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly implemented the directions of General Secretary and President To Lam.
General Luong Tam Quang emphasized the task requirements in the coming time to continue to fight and suppress all kinds of crimes; build communes and wards without drugs, towards no crime, no social evils; promote the core role, contributing to building a modern social governance, strongly shifting from social management to governance and social construction; taking data as a foundation, digital technology as a tool, people as the center; building a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern People's Police force "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people," meeting the task requirements in the new situation.
