In the afternoon of July 17, General Secretary and President To Lam and the Central Working Delegation came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs and visit and inspect the forces performing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park (HCMC).
Here, General Secretary and President To Lam and the working delegation offered flowers and incense to the Statue of the late General Secretary Tran Phu, the Stele to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed in the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring Mau Than 1968, the Martyrs' Retreat House, and places to worship Heroic Martyr Le Thi Rieng and Heroic Martyr Tran Van Kieu.


After the incense offering ceremony, the General Secretary, President and the working delegation directly inspected the scene, listened to reports on the progress of the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park.
The General Secretary and President also visited, encouraged and presented gifts to officers, soldiers and forces who are performing their duties day and night.

According to the results of verification and comparison of historical documents and witness opinions, the Le Thi Rieng Park area is identified as a place of mass burial for many officers and soldiers who sacrificed in the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring Mau Than 1968.
From July 6, Ho Chi Minh City began to deploy the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park. By the end of July 15, the task force had exhumed 93 sets of martyrs' remains and 2 sets of collective martyrs' remains.
The search at Le Thi Rieng Park is part of the "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains", taking place from March 15, 2026 to July 27, 2027.
