On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27,55 - February 27, 2025), on the morning of February 25, in Hanoi, 108 Central Military Hospital held an inauguration ceremony for two buildings: the Central Institute for Health Care and Protection of Cadres (A11) and the Institute of Clinical Medicine for Infectious Diseases (A4), contributing to the implementation of the task of the Special-class Hospital in the work of examining and treating senior cadres of the Party, State, Army and people.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Politburo members: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

According to VNA, speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the cause of protecting and caring for people's health is a common responsibility of the whole society, in which the health sector plays a core role.

General Secretary To Lam suggested that as a strategic hospital, the final line of the army and the whole country, in the coming years, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the 108 Central Military Hospital need to continue to promote their leadership role, direct focus, unify, and innovate management.

In which, focusing on leadership, direction and organization of implementation to create important breakthroughs in professional quality, quality of care and service; promoting administrative reform, simplifying administrative procedures, strongly applying digital transformation in medical examination and treatment;

Build a team of cadres and employees with strong political will, good expertise, pure medical ethics, a dedicated view of serving patients and complying with professional regimes; build a disciplined, scientific, and advanced hospital.

Bringing the country's health sector further

To maintain prestige and continue sustainable development, the General Secretary suggested that the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Hospital, professors, doctors, pharmacists, scientists and the collective of hospital doctors and nurses focus on building a clean and strong Party Committee, a comprehensively strong agency and unit, promoting the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and the Campaign "Promoting tradition, contributing talent, worthy of the honor of Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era;

Build a team of cadres who are political-stable, exemplary in ethics, proactive, creative, self-reliant in performing professional and technical tasks; pay special attention to fostering, training, building human factors, focusing on fostering, attracting and developing talents; build a team of intellectuals and scientists with good professional qualifications, good moral qualities and pure medical ethics.

The General Secretary noted that the Hospital needs to constantly maintain and improve professional quality in all aspects, take patients as the center, complete well the tasks of admission, emergency care, and treatment; closely combine treatment with scientific research, training and technical transfer;

There should be mechanisms and policies to promote treatment, invest, and expand medical training majors, creating conditions to attract medical staff to participate in scientific research, continuous training, and postgraduate training; strengthen international cooperation in training high-quality human resources to absorb the quintessence of modern medical science, taking the country's healthcare further.

For the project of the Central Institute for Health Care and Protection of Cadres and the Institute of Clinical Medicine for Infectious Diseases, the General Secretary requested that the leaders and commanders of the Hospital pay attention to doing a good job of technical work to ensure the project's safety and compliance with regulations, effectively exploiting modern equipment, avoiding waste and loss;

Educate all staff and employees to have a good awareness of the preservation, operation, and effective, efficient, safe and quality use of the project to effectively serve the high-quality medical examination and treatment needs of the army and the people.

Government agencies and the Ministry of National Defense direct and create all favorable conditions to help the Hospital, continue to fully invest in modern and synchronous equipment to develop more and more, soon reaching international standards.
