On the afternoon of October 1, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received Mr. Sandeep Bharathi, Chairman of Marvell Global Group, USA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The General Secretary welcomed the visit to Vietnam by the President of Marvell Group Global on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Vietnam-US relations and in the second year of implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The General Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the group's investment and business results in Vietnam in recent years, making practical contributions to the development of Vietnam and the Vietnam - US relationship.
The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam considers the US as one of the partners of top importance, hoping that the bilateral relationship will maintain a positive, extensive and effective development momentum for the benefit of the people and businesses of the two countries.
The General Secretary shared his vision for development and the important role of science and technology; affirmed that Vietnam is making efforts to continue institutional innovation, perfecting policies and laws to facilitate investment and business activities of domestic and foreign enterprises, and Vietnam's development goals in the new period.
The General Secretary expressed his delight that many large corporations, including Marvell Group, continue to increase investment and expand business in Vietnam.
The General Secretary outlined a number of priorities for Marvell Group to increase investment in Vietnam, including supporting Vietnam in building a data center, developing the semiconductor industry and training human resources.
President of Sandeep Bharathi Global Marvell Group expressed his honor and sincerely thanked the General Secretary for taking the time to visit and share the business results and development of the group in Vietnam over the past 10 years.
