The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that on May 30, 2025, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received comrade Thongsalith Mangnomek, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, on an official visit to Vietnam from May 29-30, 2025.
General Secretary To Lam expressed his delight at the important achievements in various fields that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved in recent times, including the very active contribution of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.
General Secretary To Lam was pleased that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos continue to be maintained and developed, achieving many positive results in all fields; affirmed that Vietnam always strongly and comprehensively supports the cause of building and developing Laos.
The General Secretary emphasized the position and very important role of the Central Office of the two parties, the advisory and assisting agency for the Central Executive Committee, directly the Politburo, the Secretariat in the organization and administration of the Party's leadership, coordinating the activities of the Party Central Committee's advisory agencies.
The Chief of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary People's Party Thongsalith Mangnomek congratulated the great achievements and historical significance that Vietnam has achieved in recent years and expressed confidence under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, the Vietnamese people continued to achieve new and greater achievements in the renovation, steadily in the new era of the people.
Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek has reported to the General Secretary of some recent Lao situation, especially the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress, the organization of the Congress at all levels to the 12th National Party Congress; The results of the two central offices of the two parties in recent years as well as the results of the talks with the Chief of the Central Office of the Vietnam Party Committee Le Hoai Trung.
Notably on the occasion of the visit, the two offices held a ceremony to publish the book "The tradition of cooperation between the Central Office of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary People's Party" and awarded Huan and Medals of the Party and State of Laos to the collective and individual of the Central Office of Vietnam Party.
Comrade Thongsalith Mangnomek sincerely thank the help, support for the love and effectiveness of Vietnam for Laos so far; Affirming in any situation, the Central Office of the Lao Revolutionary People's Party will make efforts to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contribute positively to preserving and nurturing the special solidarity of Laos - Vietnam is growing, for the practical benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and around the world.
