Hanoi - At the headquarters of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session on draft documents of the 14th National Congress.

On the morning of July 30, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting with the Document Subcommittee, Standing members of the Socio-Economic Subcommittees, Standing members of the Party Charter Subcommittee of the 14th National Party Congress and Standing members of the Steering Committee to summarize 40 years of innovation on drafting documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu. Also attending were Politburo members, Secretariat members, Party Central Committee members, and members of the Document Subcommittee.

Regarding the Draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, at the 12th Central Conference of the Party, the Party Central Committee agreed to assess the consolidation of the Reports as a new, breakthrough thinking, demonstrating a creative approach, avoiding duplication and lack of unity between the Reports, demonstrating the true stature of the Political Report, clear viewpoints, policies, strategic orientations, specifics on key tasks, and strategic breakthroughs with high and consistent action value. Along with the new Political Report is the Joint, unified Action Program to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

The Party Central Committee requested that the new Political Report must be completed in the direction of ensuring inheritance and innovation, reflecting the country's development practices; clearly defining the goals of the 14th Congress term and vision to 2045, 2050 and beyond, associated with two goals: 100 years under the leadership of the Party, 100 years of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; emphasizing new development drivers, including science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, high-quality human resource development, and effective exploitation of the advantages of extensive international integration; affirming the key role of Party building and rectification, anti-corruption, waste and negativity; fighting against individualism, group interests, degradation of ideology, ethics, lifestyle; enhancing control of power, enhancing the capacity of the Party and the leadership in the management and control of the national government; effectively exploiting the advantages of the internal and internal affairs of the Party; affirming the key role of the Party's construction and reform, the work of preventing corruption, waste and negativity; fighting against individualism, group interests, degradation of ideology, ethics, and the quality of the Party's leadership; strength in the management and operation of the Party's management of the Party.
