This morning (8.), in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee chaired and coordinated with the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Party Office and other units to organize a conference to meet with intellectuals, scientists, and artists on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the 8th Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
General Secretary To Lam attended and chaired the conference. The conference was co-chaired by Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia; Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc. Also attending were Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang.
The conference was attended by leaders of the Party and State; representatives of leaders of departments, ministries, branches, and socio-political organizations of the Central Government and Hanoi City. In particular, there were 80 delegates representing intellectuals, scientists, and artists across the country.
The conference affirmed the deep concern, gratitude and honor of the Party and State for the great contributions and dedication of intellectuals, scientists and artists in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
At the conference, the leaders of the Party and State informed about the country's situation, listened to comments and encouraged the team of intellectuals, scientists, and artists to continue promoting precious traditions, contributing talent and intelligence, striving to create many large and valuable works and works; accompanying the Party, the Fatherland and the people, determined to build a prosperous and happy country in the new era.
Speeches at the Conference agreed to assess that in all periods and historical periods of the country, the team of intellectuals, scientists, and artists have always been closely attached to the people, accompanying the people and soldiers nationwide under the glorious flag of the Party, fighting, working, and creating in the struggle for national liberation, unity, construction, and development of the country.
After nearly 40 years of renovation, the team of Vietnamese intellectuals, scientists, and artists has made great contributions in many aspects, contributing to shaping and promoting the comprehensive development of the country in all fields; being the core force, pioneering in developing science, technology, building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture and art with strong national identity.
In the period of strong transformation to enter the new era of the country, the Party, State and people believe that the country's intellectuals, scientists and artists will continue to promote the precious tradition; determined to innovate, improve their mettle and aspiration to contribute, contributing to the country's increasingly strong, prosperous, civilized and happy development.
