Since then, the traditional friendship between the two countries has always been valued by the two Parties, two States and peoples, constantly being consolidated and developed.
The two sides maintain mutual support and assistance in the cause of national liberation and socialist construction in each country.
This State visit to North Korea by General Secretary To Lam is of very special significance, being the first State visit by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam to North Korea in 18 years.
The visit took place on the occasion of the two countries practically celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950-2025) and the Vietnam - North Korea Friendship Year 2025, vividly demonstrating the attachment of the two Parties and States to the traditional friendship between Vietnam and North Korea.
