On the afternoon of September 1, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received a delegation of leaders and representatives of political leaders of many countries from Asia, Europe, America and Africa to Vietnam to attend the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Expressing their honor and joy at attending the historic celebration, the leaders and representatives of the political parties warmly congratulated the Party, State and people of Vietnam, thanked the invitation and warm, sincere and thoughtful reception of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam and the people of Vietnam.
Speaking on behalf of the political parties and heads of delegations of Belarus, Japan, Russia, and the Dominican Republic, Algeria highlighted the stature and historical significance of Vietnam's struggle for national liberation and reunification and expressed their admiration for the important and comprehensive achievements that Vietnam has made over the past 80 years, as well as Vietnam's increasingly high position in the international arena.
Representatives of political parties emphasized that Vietnam has become a model of peace, development, social progress and international solidarity; strongly support the efforts of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in developing the country; express deeply believe that with the correct guidelines and leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam, the Vietnamese people will certainly successfully achieve the goals set out in the new era of the nation.
Warmly welcoming international visitors, General Secretary To Lam expressed his emotion and appreciation for the warm feelings and good wishes that international parties and friends have given to President Ho Chi Minh, the Party, State and people of Vietnam; affirming that this is a vivid and profound testament to the comradeship, brotherhood, solidarity, loyal attachment, pure international affection and the valuable support that the Party organizations, states, governments and international friends have for Vietnam.
Highlighting the event of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that this is a great milestone in Vietnam's history, concluding nearly a century of colonial rule, opening an era of national independence and socialism of the Vietnamese nation.
The General Secretary emphasized that for every Vietnamese person, National Day September 2 every year has become a major holiday and festival, of great significance in political and spiritual life and demonstrating the aspiration for peace, independence and freedom of the entire nation.
In the context of many rapid changes in the world situation, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam is steadfast in its socialist goals and the Doi Moi path; consistently implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization, diversification of foreign relations, being a friend, a trusted partner and an active and responsible member of the international community. The Party, State and people of Vietnam always wish to expand and deepen the relationship between chinh parties, enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and people of other countries around the world.
