Implementing the voter contact program after the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, this afternoon (December 2) in Hung Yen, General Secretary To Lam and the provincial National Assembly delegation had a meeting with a large number of voters in the city to announce the results of the session and respond to voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the National Assembly.
At the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions; gave initial opinions on 10 draft laws.
The National Assembly highly appreciated the direction, administration and drastic and effective implementation of tasks and solutions of the Government, Prime Minister, ministries, branches and localities; commended the efforts of the business community and people of all walks of life who have basically completed and exceeded many targets and tasks of socio-economic development and the state budget in 2024.
Regarding the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations, preventing, detecting and handling corruption, waste, negativity, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments, the National Assembly requests the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy and relevant agencies to continue to effectively implement the targets, tasks and solutions according to Resolution No. 96/2019/QH14 and other Resolutions of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly requested to continue reviewing legal regulations in the fields of investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments; bidding, auction, investment in basic construction, land, minerals, finance - banking, petroleum, electricity... and other fields prone to corruption, negativity and waste; promptly detect inappropriate, overlapping and inconsistent regulations to amend and supplement according to authority or propose appropriate amendments and supplements; at the same time invest resources for effective implementation.
Regarding the continued reduction of 2% of value added tax rate for groups of goods and services, the Government is assigned to organize the implementation, take responsibility for ensuring the collection task and the ability to balance the state budget in 2025 as decided by the National Assembly; promptly issue a Decree on customs management of exported and imported goods traded via e-commerce channels, ensuring that import tax exemption is not allowed for small-value goods, as a basis for tax authorities to have a legal basis and sanctions for tax management of foreign e-commerce platforms selling goods to Vietnam, and immediately terminate the validity of Decision 78/2010/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
Regarding the continued implementation of the investment policy for the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project, the Government is assigned to urgently direct the allocation of resources for implementation according to the conclusions of competent authorities; study and amend and supplement relevant laws, including the Law on Atomic Energy.
The National Assembly agreed to the policy of adjusting the National Land Use Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Assign the Government to proactively implement in accordance with the provisions of law, study and submit to the National Assembly for approval the adjustment of the National Land Use Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in 2025. Agree to adjust the investment policy of the Long Thanh International Airport Project.
