Earlier, on the afternoon of April 14, General Secretary To Lam presided over the official welcome ceremony and conducted talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
At the talks, General Secretary To Lam warmly welcomed the General Secretary, President Xi Jinping led the Chinese high -ranking delegation to visit the State level to Vietnam, right in the year of Vietnam -China Humanities Exchange, the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. General Secretary To Lam believes that the visit will become a new milestone in the history of friendly relations between the two parties, the two countries and the two peoples, which will contribute to continuing to deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership, promoting the construction of the Future of Vietnam - China with strategic significance.
The General Secretary and President Xi Jinping expressed his rejoicing to Vietnam - the country "Brothers' comrades", only after more than a year and right on the occasion of Vietnam solemnly celebrated the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam, 80 years of establishment of the country and 50 years of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; said that choosing Vietnam as the first destination in this year's first overseas trip has shown the high importance of the Party and the Chinese State for China -Vietnam relations and deep affection between the two countries;
