On the morning of May 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a ceremony to commend and reward typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in 2026.
The activity takes place to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the 115th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2026) and the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026).
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - said that the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in the past time has been focused on leadership and direction by Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations in the city with many new, creative and effective solutions and models.
According to Ms. Tuyet, in this year's commendation, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee recorded and commended 181 collectives and 177 individuals who are typical and outstanding in many fields of social life.
In the field of administrative reform, many agencies and units have implemented models to shorten dossier processing time, reduce travel for people, thereby improving satisfaction with public authorities.
In the field of healthcare, many doctors and nurses are always dedicated and wholeheartedly care for patients, taking patient safety and satisfaction as a measure of task completion.
The city's armed forces continue to promote the spirit of "For the country, forgetting oneself, serving the people", maintain security and order, and at the same time promote the application of science and technology and digital transformation in performing tasks.
In addition, the city also has many typical examples in social security and charity work, caring for the poor and people in difficult circumstances; dignitaries and religious followers living a good life and a beautiful religion, contributing to building the great national unity bloc.

Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Van Thi Bach Tuyet requested Party committees, agencies, and units at all levels to continue to make studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style a central and consistent task, associated with Party building and socio-economic development.
According to Ms. Tuyet, units need to synchronously implement resolutions and key tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term, focusing on the fields of economy, culture, education, health, digital transformation and social security.
She also requested to continue to promote the work of building and rectifying the Party; innovate the content and methods of studying and following Uncle Ho associated with the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members and promptly resolve issues of concern to the people.
At the same time, the city needs to strengthen propaganda and education of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, especially for the young generation through diverse cultural, artistic and media activities.
