On the afternoon of September 30, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to provide information about the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
With the motto "Solidarity, democracy, discipline, responsibility, breakthrough, and efficiency", the Congress demonstrates the aspiration and responsibility to continue promoting the 50-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the People's Public Security force, firmly protecting national security, creating positive changes in social order, participating in creating and developing the country. At the same time, it contributes to building a rich and powerful country, successfully implementing the goal of 100 years of the founding of the Party and 100 years of the founding of the State.
Chairing the press conference, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan - Chief of Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security - said that up to this point, the Politburo has listened to and given opinions on the preparation for the Congress.
The Politburo has assessed and acknowledged the careful and serious preparation of the preparation work of the Central Public Security Party Committee. The Politburo has agreed to organize the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
With the consent of the Politburo, the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030, will take place for 3 days from the afternoon of October 3 to October 5 at the Great Hall, Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, No. 96 Nguyen Du, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City.
The theme of the Congress is "Following Uncle Ho's teachings - Innovation in thinking - Enhancing knowledge - regularity, modernity - For the Party, for the People", with a total of 350 delegates summoned.
Documents submitted to the Congress include: Political report of the 7th Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2020-2025; Review report of the 7th Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2020-2025; Draft Resolution of the Congress; Draft Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution; Draft Working Regulations of the Congress; Draft Working Program of the Congress.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the Congress is tasked with reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2020-2025; deciding on the direction, goals and tasks of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and electing the Central Public Security Party Congress delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
