On the afternoon of August 18, at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park (Hanoi), Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the opening ceremony of National Data Center No. 1 under the National Data Center and officially put into operation the National Database System at the Center.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Public Security. Also attending were: Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung; representatives of the leaders of the Party Central Committee Committees, the Government Party Committee; leaders of the Committees, ministries, branches, and central agencies.
The National Data Center under the Ministry of Public Security was officially put into operation immediately to serve Party, State, Government, people and businesses in handling administrative procedures, directing the operation, developing the digital economy and digital society, bringing core values.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Public Security will focus on both exploiting and operating the National Data Center No. 1, and implementing the construction of the National Data Center No. 2 and No. 3 according to the set roadmap, saving the budget of nearly 1,200 billion VND.
The national data center has an area of over 20 hectares, being one of the largest data centers in Southeast Asia; being the first national-level center to be granted international certificates at the highest level; meeting the ability to withstand natural disasters and a high level of security and safety...
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the National Data Center Project and the Database System of the National Data Center put into operation are of special importance in many aspects, in many aspects of economy, politics, society, security - defense.
With the role of creator and pioneer, the National Data Center must be the "heart" of national digital transformation, must be a pioneer in connecting, sharing, and opening data, creating a safe and reliable data ecosystem, not only a tool for management but also a tool for creating development.
National data centers must be built to meet advanced, synchronous, and modern international standards; apply security and safety standards at the highest level; at the same time, develop artificial intelligence, especially Vietnamese artificial intelligence.
Assigning specific tasks to ministries, branches and agencies, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Public Security to urgently complete the construction and put into operation the platform for integrating, sharing and coordinating data of the National Data Center; deploy a cloud computing platform, a comprehensive data warehouse from national databases; build a data analysis system to serve the direction and operation of the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries and serve people and businesses.
Closely coordinate with the Government Office to deploy the National Public Service Portal to become a "One-stop shop" on the National Data Center platform.
The Ministry of Public Security shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure information security and safety during the process of building, deploying, managing and operating important database information systems at the National Data Center.
Regarding human resource assurance, the Ministry of Home Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministries of Science and Technology, Education and Training, and Finance to urgently develop and promulgate mechanisms and policies to attract human resources, especially talent in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation at home and abroad.
The Prime Minister stated that with the official announcement of the operation of National Data Center No. 1 and Database System, we have taken an important step in the national digital transformation process, contributing to the construction and development of a digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital human resources and digital citizens.
