On the afternoon of March 23, the Office of the Party Central Committee issued a press release on the first working day of the second Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee (Central Committee 2 Conference).
The press release stated that on the morning of March 23, 2026, the second Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi Capital.
1. In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked at the Hall. General Secretary To Lam delivered the opening speech and chaired the Conference. Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, on behalf of the Politburo, chaired the Conference.
After the opening part, the Party Central Committee held a separate meeting to give opinions on personnel work on the introduction of personnel for leadership positions of state agencies for the 2026 - 2031 term; and to elect additional members of the Central Inspection Committee.
After that, the Party Central Committee worked at the Group to discuss and give opinions on the following contents: (1) Improving the management model of national press and media agencies, the Academy of Social Sciences and Technology in accordance with the requirements in the new situation. (2) Working regulations of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat of the XIV term. (3) Working program of the Party Central Committee of the XIV term.
2. In the afternoon, the Central Committee and delegates worked at the Hall to continue discussing and giving opinions on the following contents: (1) Improving the management model of national press and media agencies, the Academy of Social Sciences and Technology in accordance with the requirements in the new situation. (2) Working regulations of the 14th Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat. (3) Working program of the 14th Party Central Committee.
After that, the Central Committee and delegates worked at the Group, discussing the following contents: (1) Regulations on the implementation of the Party Charter of the Party Central Committee. (2) Regulations on inspection, supervision and Party discipline of the Party Central Committee. (3) Working regulations of the 14th Central Inspection Committee. (4) Regulations on political and ideological work in the Party.
